Bride Wars is a romantic comedy film by Gary Winick. The movie is all about two friends and their weddings. The role of two friends Liv and Emma are taken up by actors Kate Hudson and Anne Hathway. Both these friends visit a wedding at the Plaza Hotel and decide to have their wedding at exact same venue. The movie picks up speed when, as fate would have it, due to certain mix ups, both their marriages are being held at the same time, and the very same place. Now this is the start of the Bride Wars movie. The arrangement is not favored by both of them and both the friends try all they can to let all hell break loose on each others wedding.
**You now can watch Bride Wars movie online free, by visiting the link provided below the movie review, in the resource box.
Liv starts it all up by changing Emmas tan to orange. A visibly wild Emma takes her revenge by changing Livs hair color to blue! Emma dances out Liv at Livs Bachelors party and embarrasses her and as if that wasnt enough, Emma sends over a large box of candy to help her add weight, making it really tough for her to get into her wedding gown! Childish! All play gets serious when a really big fight breaks out amidst Emma and her Fianc. This cancels her marriage and Liv gets to have the successful wedding she wanted. Emma comes to Livs wedding and gets along with Livs brother Nate pretty well. They eventually fall in love and get married! Much to Livs surprise!
One year passes since their marriages and the two friends meet again to discover that both are pregnant and they are expecting a child on the same day. Bride wars is set to hit a screen near you in the month of January 2009. A lot of people do not find the time to drop by the cinema to catch a film. And as we all know, money is finite.

A reader who wanted to do some volunteer work in Africa before reapplying to an Ivy League school recently asked me this question. He wondered if the volunteer work would make him a more desirable candidate.
I told him that it might.
You may wonder why I said “it might” rather than “it will”.
Acceptance to an Ivy League school is dependent on a number of factors that must all be balanced, one against the other. Here are some things to think about when considering a gap year:
#1 Taking a year off is like participating in summer activities. It will only help you if you are very, very busy doing really worthwhile things the whole time.
#2 The volunteer work, activity, or program you are engaged in must be a puzzle piece that helps you create your total picture. It must contribute to the overall image you want to present when you apply to an Ivy League School. So, for example, if you are interested in global warming, taking a year to study Norwegian climate patterns would make sense.
#3 Bear in mind that you will really only have about 6 months. Common Applications are due at the end of the calendar year. You will probably graduate from high school in May, so you will not have a full year for your gap year.

#4 Your total application must be strong in order for a gap year to do you good. If you have negligible extracurricular activities, low grades, poor transcripts, and/or low SATs, a gap year will not fix problems with your application.
Keep these four factors in mind when you are when you are weighing the strengths and weaknesses of for your dad’s textile sales company for a year before applying to Ivy League schools.
After you have weighed all of these considerations, you may decide that a gap year will, indeed, be beneficial to you. If you determine that you are already a very strong candidate, and a gap year will make you even stronger, then it is definitely a good idea.
A gap year is a very good thing as far as personal development is concerned. They are also a good way to have a productive break from academic life. However, a gap year will not insure your admission to the school of your dreams.

While few months ago the future of the eReaders was uncertain, today we can say that the eReaders are here to stay.
Amazon’s Kindle 2 is currently dominating the eReaders market, and the Sony PRS series ereaders are very close behind. Many users have emailed me about which model they should get.
The devices are doing their thing well enough, and I have heard good things about both of the choices. However, there are differences that would influence you decision.
The Kindle is a natural choice for many potential users. With its wireless connectivity and the huge arsenal of books, newspapers, magazines and blogs, the choice has already been made in the minds of many.
On the other hand, the Kindle lacks native PDF support. That fact should make many business and academic users think twice before making the plunge.
While most of the academic work available in PDF format, the not so perfect conversion of the Kindle makes the lives of students even tougher than it already is. The documents are displayed awkwardly and sometimes they are completely unreadable. The same goes for the business professionals.
The Sony PRS series ereaders, on the other hand, offer a native PDF support, making them a natural choice for those who consume PDF files. Although reviews say that the Sony ereaders are a little more difficult to master and the lack of wireless connectivity makes the experience a bit different than with Amazon’s Kindle.
But, wouldn’t students and business professionals have a computer connected to the internet anyways?
So, to sum things up:
If you consume newspapers on daily basis and enjoy magazines, you will really like the Amazon Kindle that would deliver the paper every morning and make the magazines and the plethora of books Amazon carries available within seconds via the wireless connection.
On the other hand, if you know that you will mainly read files in the PDF format, you should go for the Sony PRS series. The native PDF support is so worth it.

All high school students are familiar with the dreaded Advanced Placement (AP) tests. Naturally international students (more information here) and IB students are not concerned with this, but generally speaking, AP testing is a concern for high school students.
Here are a few good things to know about AP testing:
1) Take as many AP classes as you have the time for. Having lots of AP classes on your transcript makes a good impression and conveys your academic ability.
2) Begin taking your AP tests right away. They aren’t that difficult, and it’s good to get them under your belt.
3) Only take a few AP tests. You only need a representation of your ability and a few high scores. You don’t have to have perfect scores for Harvard admittance. For GPA, SAT and AP scores, you just have to pass a certain level.
4) Generally speaking, it is a better idea to take a smaller number of AP tests and get higher scores, rather than taking a greater number of tests with lower scores. Yale, for example, is interested in knowing that you do well at what you attempt, not that you do as much as possible.
5) When you fill out your Common Application, be sure to note which AP tests you plan to take. Even though you have not yet taken a test, the fact that you plan on it looks good on your application. Many people are not aware of this little insider’s tip.

So keep these three points in mind about AP testing: Take plenty of AP classes. Don’t procrastinate on the testing. Shoot for quality rather than quantity. If you follow this advice, you should do well.
A high AP test score tells prospective colleges that you are up to muster. You can take on demanding, college-level work and deliver academic excellence. This is very important to Ivy League schools and really to most schools you would truly wish to attend.

The Tale of Depereaux is an enchanting story based on the book by the same name. The movie takes place in the kingdom of Dor, a magical place with soup aplenty. One day an accident occurs and the King is left broken-hearted and the townspeople without their favorite soup. The world becomes grey and all sunlight disappears. This is where a small mouse with large ears comes in.
Despereaux is a mouse that was banished to a dungeon for talking to a human. Over the course of the movie he makes friends with Pea, a princess whose father is really sad and is rescued by a rat. He learns to read and then Pea is captured and he finds out that he is the only one that can save her.
The Tale of Despereaux is a wonderful story of bravery and redemption, as well as a simple and lovable moral tale of forgiveness. The movie is great for small children, teaching them values every parent can appreciate. Adults as well can enjoy the movie, which has a fun story and great artwork. The movie seamlessly bounds the three worlds of mice, rats and humans, creating a story that is hard to forget. The film is beautifully done and the music is wonderful, adding to the movie in a perfect way. The violence isn’t extreme, making it a good movie for young children.
The movie also has many well-known actors protraying the roles. Sigourney Weaver acts as narrator and Matthew Broderick plays Despereaux the brave mouse. The rat Roscuro is voiced by Dustin Hoffman. Emma Watson plays the Princess Pea. Miggery Sow is played by Tracey Ullman.
The Tale of Despereaux is full of values for children and is a great movie to get and watch. It is exciting and a classic story and children (and even adults) will be begging to watch it over and over again.

When I received the Novel “Iron Horse Rider” from the Author Adelle “Legs” Laudan I have to admit I was expecting a book about a Biker fighting and causing trouble. You know your Typical Biker Bad Boy Story.
What I received was something I was not expecting at all. The Novel Tells the story of a hardcore biker named Shane, Shane had always kept women at arms length and showed them no emotion, That was until he met Kelly. Try as he might this biker who had always kept to himself could not fight off his feelings for her and soon found himself Married to the Women of his dreams.
After 10 years of Marriage Kelly is taken from Shane in a Tragic accident while they are Ridding. Shane finds everything around him reminds him of Kelly, His home, his shop, even his Clubhouse. His Brother’s try to Support and comfort him, but the looks of sorrow in their eyes for him is more then Shane can bare. He soon realizes staying in the world He has Known and loved is not an option. Soon Shane is on his Iron Horse with the wind in his face and no destination! As Shane rides He finds the pain he feels for his loss begin to lessen!
With advice from a Mysterious Biker he keeps running into, Shane finds himself at a Micmac Indian Camp. Shane is welcomed into the Camp by the Tribes Chief and soon finds himself becoming Friends with the Chief’s Daughter Tia who has recently lost her Husband! While the two Share their pain they soon begin to feel something for each other. Is it possible for either of them to feel love again while still suffering from such a great loss? A member of Tia’s Tribe is taking no chances and tells Shane to stay away from Tia. He soon finds out you never tell a Biker like Shane what to do!

I found the writing in this novel while in no way simplistic was easy to read. I also found the story easy to follow ! Adelle “Legs” Laudan describes and expresses the feelings of Biker Brotherhood perfectly. When She explains Shane’s feelings while Riding you can see in your mind where he is and you can almost feel the wind in your Face!In life we all have our worlds we live in, When something Terrible happens sometimes We cling to what We know. Shane does what He as a true Biker must after such a terrible loss, He goes out and finds not only a new life but a new World to live in for a while.
I have to say I enjoyed the story. It was not what I was expecting or would usually read but I found I could not put the book down. I think some Men who Ride will enjoy this book, While many I feel will find it a little too much of a Romance novel! I do believe almost every Women who has ever ridden a Motorcycle or dated a Man who rode one will love this Novel.
As I know now Adelle “Legs” Laudan is a writer of Motorcycle Romance Novels, Please Support Adelle in her Quest to emprove the image of the Motorcycle world one book at a time! Every time you order Iron Horse Rider or one of her other Novels (only $5.95), including the upcoming Iron Horse Rider 2 at the website www.AdelleLaudan.com you help make the Motorcycle world a better place!
