Be Creative and Save Money On Kids Shoes

Saturday, June 13th, 2009

Kids outgrow shoes at an incredibly fast pace. From day to day those little feet are quickly turning into much bigger feet. Regardless of the name brand, most parents know that their child may not get a real “wear” out of the shoes because you just never know when those little toes will stretch out. Even more so in an economy crisis when things are much more expensive. What can a parent do to keep up with the seemingly ever-growing peds of their children? Try these tips for saving. Cost cutting parents will find these extremely helpful during this economy crisis:

Be a frugal fashionista and don’t be afraid to ask! Of course you are not the only person that has a bunch of “barely used” kids shoes that your child has outgrown. Parents that you know are experiencing the same thing. Ask the people that you know about those shoes. You may just luck up and get some of those fancy and name brands that you don’t want to buy, totally free!

Host a shoe swap. This is something that you can do to get the kids involved. They can even send out little invitations, fashioned as shoes of course. Have the families come together and watch as everyone has fun letting their kids try on and swap shoes. The cost of this type of an event, a few bags of chips and a few pitchers of homemade iced tea!

Buy for cheap at a thrift or consignment shop! If you don’t mind buying things slightly used, then you might just find a virtual shoe treasury by visiting a local consignment or thrift shop. It’s one of the cheapest shopping ways. Save money for other stuff by searching out deals at the thrift store. Sometimes, you may find shoes for as cheap as $1 per pair. Not only will you save up to 90% off of the retail price, but sometimes, you may not even end up with the slightly used shoes. Yes, people donate BRAND NEW shoes also!! Another fabulous way to save is to consign your own things. Some consignment shops pay you on the spot and by selling your stuff and getting paid, you could end up with a bunch of stuff for FREE!

Make sure to buy during the “savings” seasons. After the holidays is a fantastic time to find the best deals on shoes at retail stores. You can get sandals during the cooler Fall months and boots when the weather is about to change from cold to warm. People that buy for cheap during these sales seasons can expect to save up to 75% off of the regular prices.

If you can’t wait to buy your shoes, at the very least try to buy them during the BOGO or “buy one, get one” sales. In addition to these great offers, you can also check your local Sunday paper, which often has coupons printed in editorial sections. With a little investigative work, you can buy for cheap and get a good savings! Any frugal fashionista can enjoy and appreciate these low cost deals!

Suit Styles And How They Differ

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

We generally see a great variety of men’s suit everywhere but the truth is that despite all the variation we can see ,all type of suits could be broadly classified into four types. You can take one bought from anywhere and you will find out that it falls into one of these categories .

The different styles are American, Italian, British and Oriental. Anything else is a derivative altered only slightly by the use of varying the shirt or other accessories.

The American style of suit has existed for a couple of centuries. It’s multipurpose, being suitable for almost any occasion, and consists of a double buttoned jacket with normal lapels. Straight trousers which finish at the shoe line.

The Italian suit draws more interest and curiosity in the fashion arena. A majority of designers and fabricators of men’s suits happen to be of Italian origin. Conventionally, the look is a double-breasted jacket with small pockets. A little padding to each shoulder is common, and the pants invariably come with pleats and cuffs.

British suits are generally quite formal and find usage in business. They are buttoned and pocketed and provided with shoulder padding while pants have one or two pleats and small cuffs. Pin stripe is one of the most popular style in this category.

The Oriental style as the name suggests originated from far east. It has small collar that remains vertical .The jacket, typically buttoned from bottom of the flap up to the neck,is worn closed. An eastern shirt is used with it without a tie.

Any of these aforesaid four fundamental designs can be procured from almost anywhere in the world. You can, as explained, vary them a little by using some imagination and by thoughtful wearing of various combinations of shirt, tie, pocket square as also shoes.

Which of these you choose will depend upon personal preference. In particular, where you will mostly wear your suit should be of greatest concern. Business or social for example. Also, your physique and persona will affect the outcome of how each suit style will agree with you.
